Yes! [Your Name] personally handles all installations to ensure quality, safety, and that all work meets building codes and ADA guidelines. We don’t subcontract—when you hire SafeHaven, you get us from start to finish.

Most projects are completed in 1-2 days. Simple jobs (2-3 grab bars) can be done in 2-3 hours the same day. Larger projects involving multiple rooms, lighting upgrades, or ramps may take 2-3 days. We’ll give you an exact timeline in your quote.

Absolutely. We carry $2 million in general liability insurance and professional liability (errors & omissions) coverage. We’re also CAPScertified (Certified Aging in Place Specialists), which is the national standard for home safety expertise. We can provide a certificate of insurance upon request.

Traditional Medicare typically does not cover home modifications like grab bars or ramps. However, some Medicare Advantage (Part C) plans, Medicaid waiver programs, and VA benefits do cover certain modifications. We provide detailed invoices that you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. We’re happy to discuss funding options during your consultation.

We primarily serve Howard County (Columbia, Ellicott City, Laurel, Clarksville), Baltimore County (Baltimore city, Catonsville), Ann Arundel County, Prince George County and Montgomery County (Bethesda, Rockville, Silver Spring, Potomac, Germantown, Gaithersburg). We occasionally serve surrounding areas outside 30 miles radius of Ellicott City depending on the project scope. Call us to confirm we serve your area.

For urgent situations (recent fall, hospital discharge, safety concern), we can often schedule within 2-3 days. Nonurgent assessments are typically scheduled within one week. We understand that sometimes safety can’t wait, so we prioritize emergency requests.

That’s perfectly fine! Our $350 assessment includes a comprehensive report with recommendations—you’re welcome to do the work yourself, hire another contractor, or have us do it. There’s absolutely no pressure. Many families use our assessment to get a professional opinion before making decisions.

Currently we accept cash, check, or credit card. For larger projects ($3,000+), we can discuss payment arrangements on a case-by-case basis. We also provide information on funding sources like VA benefits, Medicaid waivers, and reverse mortgage options that some families use.

Three things: (1) We’re CAPScertified specialists—this isn’t a side business, it’s our expertise. (2) We combine clinical knowledge ([Wife’s Name]’s 10 years in elderly care + OT training) with professional installation skill. (3) We’re a family business that genuinely cares about keeping Maryland seniors safe at home. We’re not the cheapest or the fastest—we’re the most thorough.
