At Age In Place Maryland we know that being diagnosed with Dementia or Alzheimer’s disease can have a significant emotional, social, and psychological effect on both the person living with the disease and their family. Our services for those living with Dementia and Alzheimer’s include medication reminders, fall prevention, personal care, companionship, wandering prevention, activities to stimulate memory, personal care and more. Our objective is to enhance wellness while promoting independence
Live-in Care
For many, live-in care is much more desirable as it helps them maintain their independence by avoiding a move into an assisted living facility or a nursing home. The caregiver lives with you or your loved one in your home, supporting with your day-to-day needs. Room and board must be provided for the caregiver.
Twenty Four(24) Hour Care
With 24-hour care, there are multiple shift possibilities throughout the day. At least two caregivers will share caregiving responsibilities to ensure that your loved one receives round-the-clock care with no lapse in time. Each shift is assigned to a different caregiver to allow breaks while avoiding fatigue. The most common shift options are either three eight (8) hour shifts or two twelve (12) hour shifts.
Overnight Care
Overnight care is suitable for loved ones who need supervision at night. It is available to ensure safety and security of clients who may get up frequently during the night or wander due to dementia or Alzheimer’s disease.
Respite Care
While providing care for an aging or ill family member can be very fulfilling, it can equally be physically and emotionally demanding. There are times when a family caregiver needs some time away from their care duties. This generally is a short-term & temporary break from caregiving duties to recharge. For those that provide care to a spouse, parent, or grandparent and are in need of such a service, you can count on Age In Place Maryland. Our Caregivers are ready to provide the excellent level of care that families expect for their loved ones.
Hospice Care
